Job summary

A leading financial services firm is seeking a detail-oriented Tax Administrator to manage tax reporting and compliance. The role involves ensuring accurate completion of Income Tax Returns and addressing queries from the South African Revenue Service. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, along with at least 3 years of relevant tax experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years tax experience, including experience with SARS.
  • Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a knack for tax regulations and compliance? Our client has an exciting opportunity for you to join their premier financial services firm as a Tax Administrator. Our client, a well-established and highly respected company, is seeking a talented individual to join their dynamic team. To ensure the correct and accurate completion of Income Tax Returns as required by the South African Income Tax system.

Specific duties and responsibilities:

  • Managing tax reporting and compliance process for clients
  • Processing, tracking, and paying invoices related to tax and consulting projects.
  • Performing payroll tax system administration, including data maintenance and adjustments.
  • Handling SARS (South African Revenue Service) queries, and maintaining knowledge of the local tax system
  • Consistently complete Income Tax Returns correctly and accurately
  • Client focus – internal and external (responding to client needs, service)
  • SARS e-Filing knowledge Competencies

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Matric
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • A minimum of 3 Years Tax Experience Income tax and SARS experience

Expectations:

  • Correspond with SARS Consultants.
  • Assist with SARS and general tax queries
  • Assist with ad hoc tax tasks
  • Must have a good understanding of the SARS procedures.
  • Must have good problem-solving skills, communication skills and client service orientated.
  • The ideal candidate should be able to work under pressure with deadlines in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional quality work.
  • Effective organisation of daily tasks (time management, planning, administration and reporting skills, meeting deadlines)
