Description/Synopsis:

Our client is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Tax Administrative Assistant to join their team in Claremont, Cape Town.

This role is crucial to their operations, as you’ll be responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of tax-related client administration, with a primary focus on AIT applications with SARS, as well as providing administrative support for other key services.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Strong administrative background with excellent organisational skills.
  • No prior tax experience required (knowledge of tax processes would be advantageous).
  • Keen eye for detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional, proactive, and solutions-driven approach.
  • Proficient in office software and computer systems.
  • Experience with SARS eFiling is an advantage, but not essential.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Process AIT applications and other tax-related client administration.
  • Collect and review supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with SARS requirements.
  • Provide clear feedback to clients on their applications.
  • Follow up with clients for outstanding documents or information.
  • Submit applications to SARS accurately and on time.
  • Assist with obtaining Advance Payment Notifications (APN) on e-Filing.
  • Support administration of other services, including financial emigration, tax directives, and tax return submissions.
  • Escalate client queries or SARS feedback to tax consultants when required.
