Our client, Bellevue Wine Estate, situated on the Bottelary road in Stellenbosch, is looking to appoint a Tasting Room Manager, who needs to balance their knowledge of wine and customer service with strong operational and management skills.

The successful candidate has excellent, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (written and verbal). Duties will include (but not be limited to): *Guest experience and hospitality (present exceptional tasting experiences) *Management of staff (scheduling, salaries, appointments, etc.) *Staff training *Inventory and merchandise management *Daily cash-ups and reconcile payment methods *Customer relationship management *Planning of tasting room events *Develop innovative ways to drive sales/sales generation *Maintain an up to date tasting menu *Financial management (budget and cost control) *All other managerial and administrative functions related to the position.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

• Matric required;

• A tertiary qualification in Hospitality or similar preferred;

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role;

• Computer literacy (MS Office Suite and Commerce 7);

• Excellent knowledge of wine, hospitality and/or restaurant industry;

• Good understanding of customer service and business acumen;

• Valid drivers license and own reliable transport.
