Job Title: Tanzanite Sales Administrator
Location: Gauteng, Johannesburg

Minimum Skills and Knowledge Required
  • Standard 10 / Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar administration position.
  • Experience at Amrod or in a similar environment is advantageous.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills for professional interaction with customers and colleagues, both telephonically and via email.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong statistical and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to work extended hours as operationally required.
Key Performance Areas
  1. Assist the Tanzanite Key Accounts Manager with managing client orders, including generating quotations, creating job cards, and handling emails and correspondence.
  2. Follow up on all outstanding work daily and communicate updates to clients.
  3. Complete all administrative tasks, such as Amtrack reports, within set deadlines.
  4. Build and maintain customer relationships, encouraging up-selling and branding opportunities.
  5. Assist annually with trade shows, such as Markex.
  6. Prepare embroidery and urgent quotes.
  7. Handle sales of personalised catalogues.
  8. Process unbranded and sample orders.
  9. Meet with clients in the showroom as required.
  10. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  11. Support other departments and roles as needed based on operational requirements.
  12. Maintain high standards of housekeeping and hygiene within the department.
  13. Uphold the company's integrity at all times.
