Role Purpose

We do this through our understanding of the retail insurance, savings, and investment markets in SA.

Requirements

  • 3-year BCom degree in Financial Planning, Investment, Business Management, Marketing, Finance, Education, or Legal.
  • Willingness to study towards the degree and recognition of prior learning if you have 3+ years of experience in the IFA industry.
  • CFA and/or CFP is an advantage.

Experience

  • 3 to 5 years in the financial services industry.
  • 1 to 3 years relevant industry-related sales experience.
  • Experience in Momentum Myriad and Investo products is an advantage.

Knowledge

  • Strong business acumen with sound knowledge in risk assessments, claims, underwriting, tax, business assurance.
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry, insurance products, and regulatory legislation is advantageous.

Duties and Responsibilities

Engage
  • Increase visibility to support relationship-building; develop compelling reasons to visit the IFA.
  • Understand the needs of the IFA and align the value proposition accordingly.
  • Visit IFAs and their offices based on a defined plan and deliver targeted messages.
  • Monitor and increase weekly activities to exceed sales targets, with a minimum of 16 face-to-face IFA visits per week, including FAB conversations.
  • Present the professional and disciplined nature of the IFA agenda, documenting minutes of all meetings.
  • Be present, listen actively, understand, and ask coaching questions.
Enthuse
  • Understand target audiences, their landscape, competitor influences, and key moments of truth.
  • Build long-lasting, meaningful relationships with IFAs.
  • Encourage IFAs to become active supporters and ambassadors, starting from their first case.
Educate
  • Position Momentum as the business partner of choice leading advice-led services.
  • Achieve or exceed minimum production and active IFA engagement targets.
Enable
  • Position Momentum as the preferred business partner leading advice-led initiatives.
  • Meet or surpass minimum production and IFA activity targets.
