Role Purpose
The Retail Business Consultant builds passionate, energetic, and meaningful partnerships with IFAs that will endure over time. They leverage product, market, and sales intelligence to differentiate themselves from competitors. The relationship with the IFA is strengthened through ease of doing business, first-class services, deep business analysis, and continuous improvement of the IFA's business.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- 3-year BCom degree in Business Management, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or Legal (essential)
- Willingness to study towards the degree; recognition of prior learning if you have 3+ years of experience in MDS
- CFP qualification is an advantage
Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in the financial services industry (desired)
- 1 to 3 years of relevant sales experience (essential)
- Experience with Momentum Myriad and Investo products is an advantage
- Strong business acumen with knowledge of risk assessments, claims, underwriting, tax, and business assurance
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of the financial services industry
- Knowledge of relevant legislation
- Knowledge of the sales process
- Relevant product knowledge
Duties and Responsibilities
Engage
- Be visible to the IFA to understand their needs and drive their value proposition
- Visit the IFA and their office based on a defined plan and deliver messages
- Analyse, monitor, and increase prescribed weekly activities to exceed sales targets
- Present the professional, disciplined nature of the IFA agenda and document all meetings
Enthuse
- Understand target audiences, the landscape they operate in, competitor influences, and critical moments of truth
- Ensure long-lasting, deep, and meaningful relationships with the IFA
- Assist IFAs in moving from non-active supporters to active supporters and ambassadors
Educate
- Position Momentum as a thought leader in the industry
- Be the IFA's primary source of information within Momentum
- Demonstrate accountability, innovation, excellence, honesty, diversity, and influence in business dealings
- Enable better financial planning and advice outcomes
Enable
- Maintain Momentum's reputation as a thought leader among IFAs
- Serve as the IFA's source of information within Momentum
