Role Purpose: The Retail Regional General Manager will acquire new IFAs for Momentum, responsible for the effective placement of IFAs in the best panel with the best BC.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure a high-performance culture is set and maintained.
  2. Drive profitable growth through planning, execution, and management of a team of BCs that builds IFA connections.

Requirements:

Qualifications: BCom degree in Business Management or Investments. Honours degree and CFP are advantages.

Experience: 5 to 8 years' financial service industry experience, with a majority in risk and saving; 3 to 8 years' relevant management experience; Momentum Myriad and Investo experience are advantages; Strong business acumen.

Knowledge: Financial planning and advice process knowledge, knowledge of financial services industry, and Momentum product.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Active People Mobiliser: Manage the team, continuously interview and recruit the best specialists to match the IFA base, conduct joint calls with specialists, provide regular feedback and coaching - one-on-one and in the team, build robust relationships with all key stakeholders in MDS product houses and externally.
  2. Driver of High-Performance Culture: Develop and execute the business plan, set performance standards by attracting new IFAs, set annual, quarterly, and monthly sales goals for each BC, drive growth in sales distribution in support of strategic objectives, create a great team spirit and ensure achievement of sales targets.
  3. Learning and Development Catalyst: Engage each of their Specialists systematically and consistently, support the Continuous Learning program and knowledge distribution program, integrate new content and product changes smoothly into the IFA market, develop on the full value chain including service, product, and distribution.
  4. IFA Acquisition and Connection: Acquire new IFA Relationships, build meaningful and value-adding relationships between the advisers and Momentum, ensure frequent engagement and marketing activities, drive clear communication to IFAs, implement active reporting, foster an advice-led environment focusing on best practice service delivery, ensure sound financial and corporate governance practices.
