Role Purpose : The Investment Consultant builds passionate, self-starting, energetic, and meaningful partnerships with investment and wealth independent financial advisors (IFAs) that will last over time.
Product, market, and sales knowledge will distinguish them from their peers.
The SIC / IFA business relationship will be enhanced through client engagement, first-class service, in-depth business analysis, and continuous improvement of the IFA's business.
Requirements : Qualifications : 3-year BCom degree in Business Management or Investments (essential). Honours degree is an advantage. CFA and/or CFP is an advantage.
Experience : 3 to 5 years' experience in the financial services industry, including investments (essential). Experience in Momentum Investments is an advantage. Strong knowledge of the investments and wealth management industry in SA and international markets, including Fund Selection, DFM, and Securities. Proven track record in client and/or IFA practice management is an advantage. Technology savvy.
Duties & Responsibilities : Enthuse through Brand, SME Service & Digital : Understand target audience, landscape, competitors, and events that will inspire engagement. Ensure long-lasting, deep, and meaningful relationships with IFAs. Encourage IFAs to transition from non-active supporters to active supporters and ambassadors. Connect to the brand and digital work practices. Support production/business retention and growth of assets.
Enable and empower through partnership : Position Momentum as the business partner of choice. Understand the importance of financial planning and how products can support IFA growth. Provide advice-led coaching to the IFA. Understand the strengths, vulnerabilities, risks, and opportunities of the panel supported.
Influence through coaching and learning : Position Momentum as thought leaders and a reliable information source. Conduct 1:1 coaching sessions and regular engagements with IFAs. Understand the impact of regulation on IFA practices. Demonstrate accountability, innovation, excellence, honesty, diversity, and influence in business dealings.
