About Information Governance and Security Team

The Information Governance and Security function within the Discovery Group aims to provide assurance that the organisation’s information assets are adequately protected against threats on a control basis. This is achieved by finding the right balance of information security and business freedom.

Key Purpose

The Information Security Administrator will be employed in the Security operations team to perform the basic security roles and functions but will have the opportunity to widen their knowledge, skills, and experience in the greater cyber security fields such as ICAM, Endpoint and Edge Security. Learners will also work with the different governance and compliance teams.

Areas of responsibility may include but are not limited to:

  • Administrate the following Environments:
    • ManageEngine ADManager Plus
    • Beyond Trust
    • Azure Active Directory
    • Exchange Online O365
    • Citrix
    • SharePoint
    • Secure File Transfer Protocol
    • Review Daily reports from hygiene tooling and remediate where required.
  • Perform incident, request, workflows tickets, and problem management.
  • Provide direct and remote L2-L3 application/server support in the Windows environments.
  • Optimize employee satisfaction through a strong commitment to communications and customer service.
  • Document configurations and procedures that will be transitioned to the help desk or support teams.
  • Utilize standard corporate tools to record change, incident, and problem activities for tracking purposes.
  • Assist with creation of shared drives and setting security permissions.
  • Assist with providing privileged access management.
  • O365 license management.
  • Windows and MacOS knowledge.
  • Manage incidents or requests logged in the call logging tool.

Education and Experience

Must have completed Matric.

Experience in IT skills.

Advantageous:

Any other diplomas or certifications in the IT fields.
