A leading rewards and incentives company is seeking a Talent Partner to manage recruitment for its new Cape Town office. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of recruitment experience in tech environments, particularly in hiring software engineers. Role Overview
As a Talent Partner, you’ll be responsible for hiring top talent in our new Cape Town office, with a core focus on Backend (PHP/Laravel), Frontend (Vue.js), Platform Engineers, and Data Engineers as well as non-technical roles such as Operations and Finance when needed. You’ll also take ownership of our employer branding efforts in Cape Town to help us become a go-to tech employer in the region.
Day to day this role will
Own the full recruitment lifecycle for technical roles, from sourcing to offer stage.
Partner with hiring managers to understand team needs and craft compelling job specs.
Source and engage passive talent across multiple platforms.
Screen and assess candidates for both technical skill and cultural fit.
Work with the People and Marketing teams to create and execute local employer branding campaigns (e.g., tech meetups, university outreach, online content).
Maintain and improve ATS workflows and recruiting processes.
Track key metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, pipeline quality) and report on hiring progress.
What we’re looking for
3+ years of recruitment experience, preferably in a tech/startup environment.
Proven track record in hiring software engineers, especially in PHP, Laravel, Vue, or related tech stacks.
Experience hiring for Platform, DevOps, or data engineering roles is a strong plus.
Solid understanding of the technical recruitment landscape in South Africa, particularly Cape Town.
Comfortable using ATS platforms (we use Ashby) and sourcing tools e.g. LinkedIn Recruiter
Experience or strong interest in employer branding, events, or content creation.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to pitch roles and the company culture persuasively.
Bonus Points
Background working in high-growth startups or scale-ups.
Experience in hiring non-technical roles such as Operations and Finance.
Experience working remotely with distributed teams.
Creative eye for employer brand storytelling or social content.
