Reports to: Human Capital Business Partner


Main Purpose Of Job

To manage and coordinate the recruitment process for the stipulated departments as well as administer exit interviews.


Qualification & Experience

  1. Matric or equivalent
  2. HR Qualification (Degree/Diploma)
  3. Minimum 4-7 years recruitment and selection experience
  4. Valid Driver’s License

JOB REQUIREMENTS & OTHER ATTRIBUTES:

  1. Computer literate (MS Office, outlook and internet)
  2. Sound knowledge of labour legislation

INTERNAL CLIENTS:

  1. All Staff
  2. Management

EXTERNAL CLIENTS:

  1. Clients
  2. Candidates
  3. Technikons / Colleges
  4. Referees

DUTIES:

  1. Check that Employment Requisition is correctly completed and assist managers in completing if necessary
  2. Compile a detailed job description based on the completed staff requisition
  3. Complete internal and/or external advert from detailed job description
  4. Place ads in appropriate media and on notice boards
  5. Peruse CV’s & identify candidates with relevant experience/background
  6. Do telephonic interviews if applicable
  7. Set up interviews with candidates who meet job requirements
  8. Conduct competency-based interviews & compile a shortlist
  9. Conduct criminal checks and reference checks on successful candidates
  10. Interview shortlisted candidates in conjunction with Line Management
  11. Discuss the top competencies and successful candidate with the Line Manager
  12. Prepare an offer letter to the successful candidate
  13. Send regret letters to unsuccessful candidates
  14. Compile engagement paperwork for successful candidate including and not limited to: Employment Contract, Annexure A and B and Personal Information forms
  15. Complete weekly recruitment report
  16. Re-employments:
  17. Obtain the application form accompanied by a motivational letter from candidate
  18. Acquire previous employment details including disciplinary and attendance records
  19. Obtain a written reference and motivation from previous manager
  20. Continue with the relevant recruitment process including all checks
  21. Upon receipt of all details / documents send file for approval of Line Manager, HR Manager
  22. Prepare offer letter for successful candidate.
  23. Exit Interviews:
  24. Conduct exit interviews pertaining to resignations for the relevant departments
  25. Ensure that exit interviews are conducted within 48 hours of receiving the resignation documents
  26. Administration:
  27. Advise on HR policies and procedures
  28. Ad-hoc duties as and when required

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:

  1. Ensure that the recruitment process is complete within 60 days of receiving a completed/signed requisition
  2. Ensure that the job description is completed in line with the requirements as set out by the Line Manager / HOD
  3. Ensure that the internal/external advert run simultaneously for 1 week
  4. Ensure that criminal checks and reference checks are completed prior to the candidate being made the Offer of Employment
  5. Ensure that contract and Annexure B corresponds with the approved Employee Requisition and documents are sent through to payroll timeously
  6. Ensure that the recruitment report is updated showing all vacancies in the relevant departments
