Job summary

Blackbird Security is seeking Uniform/Tactical Security Guards in Toronto, Ontario. The role focuses on deterring theft, monitoring patrons, and maintaining a strong security presence across retail sites.

You will complete incident reports, manage access control, and respond to emergencies with professionalism. Ideal candidates hold a valid security license, have retail security experience, and can work independently with excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• A valid security license is required.
• Keen interest in asset protection.
• Willing to stand/patrol for the duration of shifts.
• Retail security experience is preferred.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Willing to attend meetings and improve skills.
• Ability to work without close supervision.
• Willing and comfortable to stop theft.
• Experience with arrests and detaining shoplifters; Use of Force Certification.

Responsibilities

• Establish a strong security presence to deter crime and theft.
• Identify, monitor and approach subjects who may have unpaid merchandise.
• Document theft and other security violations.
• Patrol the premises, provide access control, and respond to emergencies promptly.
• Perform safety and security duties with professionalism and integrity.
• Complete incident reports and required documentation for all security incidents.
• Identify potential security risks and respond accordingly.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients, customers and patrons.
• Respond to emergencies and escalate to law enforcement when required.

What You Will Do

• Establish a strong security presence to deter crime and theft

The Ideal Candidate

• A Valid Security License
