Qualifications

  • 3+ years relevant work experience in a technical environment.
  • SAATCA Registration is advantageous.

Job description

To provide a value-adding certification service to the department and division through technical expertise and review, ensuring compliance with Accreditation, SANS / ISO Standards, and SABS policies, processes, and procedures.

Minimum Requirements
  • National Diploma / Diploma in Environmental Management, Energy Management, or Occupational Health and Safety.
  • SAATCA Registration is advantageous.
  • At least 3 years relevant work experience in a technical environment.
  • Knowledge of Product and/or Systems Certification protocols is essential.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Certification Systems and Product Schemes.
  • Knowledge of Risk Management practices and principles.
  • Experience with auditing processes and protocols.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Functional Management
    • Review sales applications, audit planning, scheduling, and execution in line with client and SABS requirements.
    • Review client audit reports based on scope of work.
    • Conduct peer reviews of auditors as required.
    • Review AB submissions per Accreditation, ISO, and SABS standards.
    • Provide technical support for quotation processes and client extensions.
    • Assist Sales with technical expertise.
    • Ensure timely submission of reports.
    • Contribute to the Certification Systems Operational Plan.
    • Serve as a Technical Reviewer and CTC member, contributing to effective CTC functioning.
  2. Risk and Compliance Management
    • Identify and adhere to fraud controls, risk prevention, governance, and compliance processes.
    • Support audits and regulatory requirements.
    • Maintain quality risk management standards.
    • Enforce all related Service Level Agreements.
    • Ensure adherence to laws, policies, and SOPs.
    • Provide technical expertise on schemes for compliance.
  3. Stakeholder Management
    • Maintain effective internal and external stakeholder relationships.
    • Mentor and coach staff on systems and product schemes.
    • Participate in committees and task teams.
    • Manage meetings, performance reporting, and customer service.
    • Resolve queries and follow up on unresolved issues.
    • Represent the organization in relevant forums.
    • Manage relationships to promote certification audit best practices.
