Systems Controller

A vacancy exists for a Systems Controller at Life Eugene Marais Hospital, reporting to the Patient Services Manager. The successful candidate will ensure the delivery of quality service to all system users at Life Eugene Marais Hospital, Life Eugene Marais Oncology, Eugene Marais Radiology, and Life Pretoria North Surgical Centre.

Systems Controller

Critical Outputs

1. Always provide 1st line support for the hospital systems users.
2. Maintain and manage all IT systems on-site.
3. Ensure the security of IT systems.
4. Follow the Life@work process for all users that require computer access.
5. Effectively assist end users during roll-out of new implementations.
6. Establish and manage an internal call logging process for users in the hospital.
7. Effectively troubleshoot system problems before logging an event with the Contact Centre.
8. Effectively co-ordinate and supervise the work of 3rd party companies e.g., CEOS, Di Data, Telkom, Kabot etc. (software and hardware implementation).
9. Provide appropriate feedback to users on the progress of their outstanding events.

Requirements

1. Grade 12 National Senior Certificate.
2. A Diploma in Information and Technology is essential.
3. 2 years of Information Technology experience is essential.
4. Strong communication skills and co-coordinating abilities.
5. Strong influencing skills and the ability to work under pressure.
6. Attention to detail, performance through people, and partnership building.
7. Proven experience and excellent computer skills are essential.
8. Knowledge of IMeds, Impilo, SAP, Kronos, and Vision would be an advantage.
