The Role

The Systems Business Analyst will infuse technological solutions into business-related problems and align IT development with the operational systems that run the business.

They will oversee business systems—gathering and analyzing information or data, and determining where to make improvements.

Key Performance Areas
Operational
  • Evaluate company systems and current processes
  • Compile objectives for improving and streamlining company procedures
  • Evaluate company performance, information, and formats
  • Stay abreast of developments in the industries in which the company operates
  • Research and compare hardware and software needs to make recommendations
  • Research economic progressions to assist financial planning
  • Document and create reports on systems effectiveness and recommend new developments
Analysis and Reporting
  • Analyze business objectives and develop solutions to business issues
  • Analyze and define 'To Be' and 'As Is' processes
  • Identify, analyze, and document business requirements throughout the project lifecycle
  • Translate business requirements into system/functional requirements
  • Compile key business metrics and report to management
  • Support monthly closing, special projects, and analysis
  • Collaborate with finance and Business Control departments to support overall goals
  • Assist in reviewing and auditing financial practices and processes for compliance
Process Improvement
  • Identify issues, quantify their impact, and develop solutions across the region
  • Design, test, implement, and monitor improvements to enhance cost, reliability, safety, and processes
Your Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, or Information Systems
  • Experience in business process design, performance analysis, project management, ERP systems, and reporting tools like MS Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI
  • Mining experience is advantageous
