Job summary

Hungry Lion Fast Foods (Pty) Ltd in Stellenbosch is seeking a software-focused replenishment specialist to design and own automated stock-replenishment systems across our store network. You will analyze processes, build logic, and support tools that standardize rules across markets, reducing manual work and operational risk while scaling with growth.

You will work with AppSheet/AppScript, SQL, JavaScript, and Python, translating operations needs into practical system solutions and monitoring

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field.
• Hands-on experience with workflow automation or analytics tools.
• Ability to translate operations needs into a usable system solution.
• Ownership mindset and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Analyse replenishment processes and system behaviour to identify breakdowns and root causes.
• Design and implement system logic, validations, and automation to reduce manual work and risk.
• Support the development and improvement of bespoke demand planning and replenishment tools (AppSheet/AppScript).
• Standardise replenishment rules and processes across multiple markets.
• Monitor performance and continuously improve system effectiveness.

Hungry Lion runs a fast-moving, multi-market supply chain. Right now, too much of it depends on manual intervention - people catching exceptions, fixing processes by hand, filling gaps that a well-built system should handle automatically. This role exists to change that. You'll design, build, and continuously improve the replenishment systems that keep stock flowing reliably across our store network.

This is a build-and-own role. You're not maintaining someone else's system; you're shaping how replenishment works across a growing multi-country business. If you're energised by turning manual processes into something that runs itself, this is the right environment.

WHAT THE JOB ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE

• Analysing replenishment processes and system behaviour to find where things break down and why.
• Designing and implementing system logic, validations, and automation that reduce manual work and operational risk.
• Supporting the development and improvement of our bespoke demand planning and replenishment tools, built on platforms like AppSheet and AppScript.
• Standardising replenishment rules and processes so they work consistently across multiple markets.
• Monitoring what you've built, measuring whether it works, and improving it when it doesn't.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• A degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with workflow automation or analytics tools.
• The ability to translate what an operations team needs into a system solution they can actually use.
• Someone who takes ownership, works independently, and doesn't wait to be told what to fix.
