Systems Architect & Initiative Lead

Job Description

To lead the stabilisation and modernisation planning for the client’s systems, ensuring scalable, resilient, and maintainable architecture that supports business continuity and future innovation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Define the stabilisation roadmap and oversee system-wide architecture initiatives

  • Evaluate current integrations and lead the design of a modern API-driven architecture

  • Direct the refactoring strategy for monolithic applications and prioritise key decomposable components

  • Coordinate across cloud, data, and application teams to ensure architectural alignment

  • Lead risk mitigation planning and develop remediation plans for high-risk integration and system failures

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or Computer Science

  • Certification in TOGAF or similar frameworks beneficial

Years of Experience:

  • 7+ years in enterprise or solution architecture roles

  • Demonstrated leadership in system modernisation and stabilisation efforts

  • Experience with integration architecture, legacy system analysis, and high availability design

Other requirements:

  • Strategic thinking and systems-level problem-solving

  • Proficiency in architectural modelling and documentation

  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams through complex system transformations

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
