Ivanhoe is focused on developing and expanding its four principal mining and exploration projects in Southern Africa, including the Kamoa-Kakula copper mining complex in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), the Platreef palladium-rhodium-platinum-nickel-copper-gold discovery in South Africa, the redevelopment of the Kipushi zinc-copper-germanium-silver mine, also in DRC, and exploration on the Western Foreland near Kamoa-Kakula.Play your part in our team's success...Ivanhoe Mines SA (Pty) Ltd is seeking a professional responsible for the commissioning, maintenance, and security of information systems supporting server and cloud infrastructure, and for driving the architectural design of these systems.

The role involves ensuring ICT solutions align with business requirements for optimal ROI and compliance with applicable ICT laws including the ECT Act, RICA Act, POPI Act, GDPR (EU), and UK-GDPR.You must have the following qualifications and experience : A 3-year National Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent;Valid Microsoft Engineer Certification (MCSE, MCITP, MCSA) or equivalent;Microsoft Azure Foundation Certification;Valid Driver's License;10+ years relevant experience managing Storage and Server Infrastructure (Physical / Virtual), including Windows environments;3+ years hands-on experience with troubleshooting and support in Virtual or Cloud platforms (Azure), including backup and recovery;Experience in designing, developing, and implementing server infrastructure;Knowledge of systems planning, security principles, and software management best practices;Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell and Bash / Shell;Knowledge of data privacy laws and practices;Good project management skills;Programming knowledge is advantageous.Personal competencies include : Excellent communication skills (written, oral, interpersonal);Research skills for systems issues and products;Ability to communicate technical and user-friendly ideas effectively;Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and analytical;Problem-solving skills;Ability to prioritize in high-pressure environments;Team-oriented and collaborative attitude.Key responsibilities include : Cost management and software license optimization;Project management for new initiatives;Support and management of server and storage infrastructure;Applying governance and security controls;Managing anti-virus deployment;Maintaining storage infrastructure connected to hypervisors and standalone servers;Proactive monitoring of server and storage health;Monitoring logs, performance, and capacity;Ensuring compliance with SLAs and best practices;Performing backups, patches, firmware upgrades, and hardware troubleshooting;Collaborating with application and hardware vendors;Designing and implementing solutions architecture;Establishing effective communication with ICT and operations teams;Ensuring policy and legislative compliance;Supporting team development and knowledge sharing;Managing own work performance.Additional details : When applying, submit a PDF CV along with certified copies (within 3 months) of your ID / passport, driver's license, and qualifications.
