Overview of the role and requirements:

  • Provide guidance in the implementation, installation, configuration, and testing of system software on relevant mainframes to automate tasks that optimize processing aligned with business needs.
  • Experience in Python coding
  • Experience in software testing
  • Strong technical knowledge with the ability to coach development teams on testing and test automation
  • Good understanding of monitoring and event management techniques
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices
  • Experience with current industry trends in Infrastructure and Application Monitoring products
  • API experience is mandatory

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing events between tools
  • Custom integration with other tools
  • Developing and configuring custom monitoring solutions
  • Documenting system configurations and procedures
  • Handling day-to-day operations (requests, incidents, changes)

Monitoring experience:

  • Experience in IT Infrastructure Operations and Monitoring
  • Understanding of monitoring and event management tools
  • Knowledge of current industry trends in Monitoring products
  • Technical coaching for junior team members
  • Problem-solving and communication skills

Additional advantageous tools knowledge:

  • CheckMK / Nagios
  • ScienceLogic
  • AppDynamics

Qualifications:

  • Over 5 years of experience in a similar role

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
