Purpose Statement

To engineer, implement, maintain and support the Capitec server and storage product offering and environment, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of systems and networks. The Systems Engineer is responsible for troubleshooting issues, optimizing performance, and implementing new technologies to support business operations.

Education (Minimum)
  • Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational
Education (Ideal or Preferred)
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology
Knowledge and Experience

Experience:

  • 2+ years’ experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role, with a background in server/storage administration and administration and IT operational support capacity
  • Experience with server/storage equipment and technologies.

Knowledge:

  • Basic knowledge of networks, security, virtualization, hardware, cloud and systems development processes concepts.
  • (Windows/Linux) Server & storage systems administration
