Requirements :
- Grade 12 plus National diploma (NQF level 6) or a Bachelor’s degree (NQF level 7) in Information Systems, Information Technology/ GIS or Informatics or relevant qualification as recognized by SAQA. 2-3 years’ relevant experience in IT service, Software Systems Analysis or Information Systems. Valid driver’s License. COMPETENCIES: Knowledge of the Organisation structure, business processes, information system, best practices and standards, good understanding of Gauteng development plans. Research and Analytic skills. Organising and administration. Writing skills. Communication skills. Problem solving skills. Project Planning.
Duties :
- Develop operational and decision support systems (Analyse user requirements. Draw up a functional specification that maps user groups to the desired system functions. Draw up a design specification that indicates technologically specific software system design. Implement (code and test) the system in software. Draw up user manuals. Manage small to medium software projects and provide support on large projects. Filing and document management. Attend and participate constructively in sub-directorate and directorate meetings as required. This may include preparing inputs, making presentations, assisting with the administration of meetings, and chairing meetings. Provide comments on documents, policies, organisational procedures, etc. as required. Write and submit all reports on time as required. This may include monthly or quarterly reports. Contribute to planning, budget building, and evaluation processes.
