Job Purpose
Due to our continued growth and the evolution of our clients' needs and priorities, we are looking for a sustainable finance Reporting specialist who is enthusiastic about joining a dynamic, thriving and growth organisation.
We are searching for an exceptional individual with approximately 10 years of technical and management experience in delivering sustainable finance related consulting services to support the growth of our capacity to deliver Sustainability and Impact Reporting services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client relationships, leading proposals and project teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality outputs.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
Post graduate qualification in a business or relevant field combined with a high level of practical ability and experience.
10 years' experience in a consulting environment with a specific focus on sustainable finance related projects.
Key Responsibilities include :
- Leading the development of Sustainability and Impact Reports ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with relevant frameworks and standards, for SLR's financial sector clients, with the support of other leaders and team members in the business.
- Conducting assessments of Reports, identifying areas for improvement and recommending actionable solutions.
- Engaging with stakeholders, including clients, designers, regulators, and industry bodies, to promote best practices in Sustainability and Impact Reporting.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest trends, regulations, and best practices in Sustainability and Impact reporting.
- Managing reporting engagements from end to end, including materiality assessments, visioning processes, data gathering and analysis, report drafting and reviewing, and overseeing the design process.
- Managing and mentoring a multi-disciplinary team of consultants, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Ensuring that all staff working in projects under management receive adequate technical training and capacity building.
- Supports their Service Line Director (and others as appropriate) with the management of operational and commercial risk at proposal stage as well as adequate resource allocation to priority bids.
- Managing operational risk by ensuring projects are undertaken in accordance with the Region's Quality Management System (QMS).
- Working with the Regional Management Team to build and maintain Client Relationships, as well as prioritise work winning activities, in accordance with agreed Strategic Client priorities.
Skills / Attributes
- Sound understanding of relevant Frameworks and Standards including, but not limited to : Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), IFC Performance Standards (IFC PS) and IFC FI Guidance Note, United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGP), International Labour Organisation (ILO) Core Labour Standards and ILO Basic Terms and Conditions of Work, EDFI Harmonised E&S Standards including EDFI Standard for Finance Institutions and Fund Investments, EU Taxonomy, Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulations (SFDR), Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Privacy Principles, Client Protection Principles supported by the SMART Campaign, Operating Principles for Impact Management (OPIM).
- Deep understanding of financial sector clients and their evolving needs as these relate to ESG / Impact / Sustainability compliance and performance.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with a strong proficiency in written and verbal English.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work according to need.
- Attention to detail, problem solving skills and be able to synthesize complex or diverse information, collect and research data, use intuition and experience to complement data and design workflows and procedures.
