A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Sustainable Development Manager to develop and implement long-term sustainability strategies. This role involves ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, overseeing the SHE Department, and enhancing the company's Sustainable Development performance. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Safety Management and 8-10 years of experience, alongside key management and communication skills.
Develops long-term sustainability strategies and ensures their successful implementation, encompassing occupational health and safety (OH&S), environment, and security. Oversees and leads the SHE Department, responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating programs and initiatives aimed at improving the company's Sustainable Development performance.
Integrates sustainability practices within the current business model by identifying external and internal trends, detecting risks and opportunities, and positioning the company as a leader in corporate governance and sustainability among industry peers.
Ensure ongoing compliance with statutory SHE requirements to maintain the mine license, including verifying compliance, advising management, and assisting with legislation implementation. Ensure thorough prevention inspections, accurate incident investigations, and proper documentation.
Make decisions within budget and authority limits. Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders (management, employees, partners) and external stakeholders (regulators, authorities, partners).
