Surgical Scrub Technician - Neuro Spine Medical Devices | Pretoria

To integrate into an existing team servicing parts for Neuro / Spine customers, working closely with Senior Salespeople to develop and maintain customer relationships, provide technical and clinical training, and offer solutions in the OR to meet customer and user needs. The role includes delivering excellent after-sales service and support.

NEURO DIVISION

1. Collaborate with the Senior Salesperson and Sales Manager to identify customer requirements, support needs, and develop a sales plan for the territory.
2. Implement tactical plans to promote increased use of the company's and division's products.
3. Follow up on sales leads and address customer queries.
4. Work with sales colleagues to optimize growth by sharing opportunities and providing support.
5. Ensure timely placement of orders and proper invoicing and delivery according to company procedures.
6. Build positive relationships with end users and customers for ongoing business.
7. Offer professional and technical advice to address customer needs and promote the company's brand.
8. Provide in-service training to ensure correct usage of medical devices, obtaining necessary access approvals within hospital groups or clinical facilities.
9. Maintain awareness of current business sources and support needs over the next 12 months, supported by market intelligence.
10. Report on competitor activities in the territory.
11. Understand relevant clinical studies and theories, utilizing appropriate sales materials effectively.
12. Participate actively in company meetings, providing necessary product support and exceeding customer expectations during specialized operating theatre cases.

Requirements

This role involves extensive driving and long working hours.

1. Ability to scrub in theatre and be part of the surgical team, focusing on Neuro / Spine cases.
2. Provide technical instruction and support on supplied products (training provided).
3. Manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
4. Handle basic administration, including weekly activity reports.
5. Present oneself well and communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
6. Follow instructions and work well within a team.
7. Manage consignment stock and be accountable for variances.
8. Provide feedback to management as requested.
9. Comply with Quality Management Systems.
10. Own reliable vehicle, mobile phone, and computer; manage data and fuel to ensure job performance.

Qualifications

1. Graduate, preferably in Health or Life Sciences.
2. Motivated, target-driven, and enthusiastic about sales and the medical industry.
3. Ability to scrub for operating theatre cases.
4. Experience in the medical device industry.
5. Own transportation and valid driver's license (non-negotiable).
6. Own mobile device and computer (non-negotiable).
7. Willingness to work early and late hours as required.
