Job description

Well known medical supplier requires a Surgical Sales Representative for the KZN Branch.

Qualifications & Experience

  1. BSc Degree in Human Movement / Health Sciences
  2. More than 1 year of experience as a medical device sales representative – preference will be given to Hands trauma experience (Upper limb distal extremities).
  3. Proven track record of achieving sales budgets in previous roles.
  4. Fluency in English and understanding of Afrikaans.
  5. Strong communication, planning, and time management skills.
  6. Good relationship building, networking, coaching, facilitating, and feedback skills.
  7. Valid code 08 driver’s license & own transport.
  8. Ability to work after hours.
  9. Intermediate knowledge of MS Office, including Outlook.

Duties

  1. Develop and maintain current business, and seek new business opportunities.
  2. Sales and marketing of all products in the designated range.
  3. Attend theatre cases to learn, develop, and provide technical support in the operating theatre when required.
  4. Ensure full compliance with hospital procedures, the SAMED code of conduct, and CRICE.
  5. Prepare, review, and update surgeon preference lists, including quotes.
  6. Conduct customer calls to drive business growth.
  7. Lead the development of existing and new accounts.
  8. Plan and coordinate sales calls and strategies.
  9. Provide ongoing training to surgeons, registrars, and theatre staff.
  10. Meet quantitative and qualitative objectives set out in the annual sales plan for the territory.
