Job description

integratedliving has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Support Worker to assist our clients in the Newcastle & Lake Macquarie areas

  • This is a permanent parttime opportunity.
  • Must have availability Monday to Friday between 7am and 6 : 30pm times can be flexible
  • 40 hours per week!

Reporting to the Service Delivery Team Leader you will be responsible for providing personcentered care to our clients so they can continue enjoying a high quality of life whilst remaining home and independent for as long as possible.

Role Responsibilities :

  • Provide personal home care (such as cleaning and meal prep)
  • Foster an inclusive environment of social support that ensures are clients are engaged and happy
  • Implement health and wellbeing initiatives that support our clients
  • Assistance in the community with recreational activities including but not limited to grocery shopping or medical appointments
  • Transporting clients as required
  • Report changes in health and wellbeing as ongoing

About You

We are seeking a genuinely passionate support worker who enjoys interacting and working with the elderly. You will be valuesdriven in your approach to make a positive difference in the lives of our clients.

Required Skills Experience and Credentials :

  • Must have a Certificate III in Aged Care / Disability / Equivalent or above
  • Registered reliable and comprehensively insured motor vehicle
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain
  • Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain
  • Confidence in using different forms of technology such as a smartphone or tablet
  • Customer Service Focused to ensure excellence in service delivery.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to interact with a variety of clients in a clear concise and patient manner
  • Ability to exercise high empathy compassion and respect when liaising with clients.
