Support Technician

We are looking to hire an Onsite Support Technician who will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and providing timely support to end users, contributing to the overall efficiency and productivity of the organization. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining and repairing IT equipment, and ensuring optimal performance of IT systems within an organization.

Position Info:

We are seeking an Onsite Support Technician responsible for supporting IT systems, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining IT equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.

What You'll Do:

1. Resolve incidents within defined SLA through task completion and resolution.
2. Fulfill service requests within SLA.
3. Identify recurring issues and contribute to Problem Management.
4. Communicate effectively with business users regarding outstanding issues.
5. Complete daily, weekly, and monthly tasks and report to the Service Delivery Manager.
6. Document troubleshooting steps before escalating issues.
7. Adhere to email and communication policies.
8. Assist with ICT system software and hardware installations and upgrades.
9. Support ICT-related projects and coordinate activities.
10. Proactively monitor hardware and respond to alerts.
11. Monitor infrastructure proactively and respond accordingly.
12. Provide desktop support with a minimum of 1 year experience.
13. Support Windows-based thin and fat clients within a domain environment.

Qualifications Required:

• Matric Maths or a Full N3 Qualification including Maths.
• Certification such as Microsoft Certified Professional.
• Additional advantageous certifications: ITIL Foundation, Cisco CCNA.
