Work as part of an agile team to provide application support for specified tech products & services. This includes first-line support, basic optimization, administration, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting/problem solving with end users of these tech products & services.
Job Description
DevOps & Support
- Apply problem-solving skills to resolve technical issues on existing applications.
- Develop advanced design thinking and problem-solving skills for greater complexity and evolving technology.
- Implement configuration, optimization (e.g., upgrades), and maintenance activities (e.g., patches) for enterprise applications.
- Schedule and oversee planned maintenance tasks such as backups and performance tuning in production environments.
- Provide input into application documentation for end users.
- Use application documentation to guide support processes.
- Use support and troubleshooting knowledge to recommend user documentation and application enhancements.
- Execute unplanned maintenance tasks, including disaster recovery procedures, to minimize issues.
- Follow governance and risk procedures for application support activities.
- Collaborate within application, product, and service teams throughout the lifecycle, assisting in design, testing, operation, and improvement.
- Identify stakeholder and communication dependencies in support processes and ensure compliance.
- Proactively identify risks related to application support activities.
- Maintain knowledge of application functionality, workflows, and business processes to enhance support quality.
- Gain understanding of application infrastructure (servers, networks, security) to support applications effectively.
- Maintain an inventory of applications and related details.
- Ensure all SLA requirements are met for support services.
- Adhere to risk, governance, and control procedures for support activities.
- Remain aware of application risks and opportunities for improvement.
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience with visualization tools like QlikView, Qlik Sense, Power BI, Tableau, or Quicksight, including deployment in server environments.
- Understanding of SaaS and AWS cloud concepts is advantageous.
- Knowledge of SQL, Postgres, Excel, AWS S3, or other database technologies is preferred.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field.
