  • Ensure PPE compliance for all workers.
  • Train employees in the department per minimum training requirements.
  • Achieve departmental KPI targets.
  • Ensure toolbox tasks are completed before the shift starts.
  • Coordinate with the Shift Manager on queries and department issues.
  • Provide daily feedback to the Shift Manager.
  • Attend daily planning meetings with the Shift Manager.
  • Provide feedback on staff capacity and KPI results.

General Job Information:
Job Purpose:

The purpose of the Supply Chain Supervisor role is to oversee and coordinate their departmental activities within the assigned department to ensure operational efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The role is responsible for meeting departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), optimizing workflow, maintaining inventory integrity, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall supply chain performance. Through effective leadership and operational control, the Supply Chain Supervisor ensures that all tasks are executed timeously and to the required quality standards.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum 6 months experience in the specific department employee is applying for within a Logistics/Distribution environment.
  • Computer literate- Beginner (MS Office – Word, Excel)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:
  • Grade 12
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
  • Monitor attendance of department staff;
  • Ensure all workers are wearing the correct PPE;
  • Ensure that Training of employees within the specific department according to min training requirement for the department
  • Ensure departmental KPI's are achieved
  • Ensure all toolbox tasks are completed before the shift starts;
  • Ensure the department runs well and queries are dealt with timeously in liaison with ADfusion Shift Manager.
PROCESS
  • Ensure departmental SOP is adhered to
  • Ensure that process compliance is checked;
  • Ensure all Health and Safety regulations are adhered to;
  • Ensure Housekeeping is done at the end of each shift;
  • Ensure registers are completed every day for the specific department
  • Manage Overtime worked and scheduled for specific department
INTERNAL CUSTOMER
  • Provide daily feedback to the Shift Manager;
  • Attend daily planning meetings with the Shift Manager;
  • Provide feedback on training of the department;
  • Provide feedback on staff complement;
  • Provide feedback on KPIs met and missed;
COMPETENCIES:
KNOWLEDGE
  • Managing departmental employees (+-10 employees per department)
  • Warehouse knowledge
  • Customer Service Principles Client Centricity
SKILLS
  • Computer literacy -Beginner (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong numeric and verbal reasoning ability
  • Basic knowledge of Labour Legislation.
