Job description

This role oversees key administrative tasks across the supply chain, from imports to store delivery, while supporting operations and store controls. Although based at our Head Office in Stellenbosch, the focus will be on Angola, assisting the CEO Angola and Operations Manager Angola with various tasks to enable growth initiatives. The role aims to streamline the import process for faster, smaller shipments, reduce costs such as duties and port fees, and include Vide e Caffè products in consolidated shipments. It also involves enhancing stock control by minimizing waste, enforcing FIFO practices, and preventing short-dated stock deliveries.

Location: Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa. Supports Angola. (Office Based)

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Own and expedite supply order plans generated by the Angola CEO, from planning to delivery, to ensure regular stock replenishment within the country.
  2. Review shelf-life before leaving the supplier’s premises to maximize shelf-life.
  3. Place purchase orders for the Distribution Centre (DC), review store POs for drinks suppliers, collect proof of delivery (PODs), and liaise with finance for invoice processing.
  4. Work closely with suppliers and the Hungry Lion Group procurement team to expedite RSA stock, reducing lead times and consolidation times at Cape Town warehouses.
  5. Manage the import documentation process, ensuring all documents are generated and properly filed.
  6. Apply for import sanitary licenses and distribution unit (DU) permits, coordinating with local Angolan personnel and authorities to streamline processes and reduce permit acquisition times.
  7. Coordinate with international suppliers, including Brazilian chicken and European chip suppliers, to ensure smooth import cycles and address any issues promptly.
  8. Prepare initial plans for simple projects and handle responsibilities typically managed by a project manager for non-complex projects.
  9. Maintain item master data and BOMs/recipes for Angola, updating local and HQ prices in relevant systems like Winrest.
  10. Assist in driving system initiatives such as Wooqer and CoPilot.
