Our client is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist focused on supporting international platforms, specifically Amazon Canada (CA), Amazon UK, and others. In this role, you will provide comprehensive support to ensure efficient inventory management across these marketplaces. Your responsibilities include assisting in inventory control, coordinating with suppliers, analyzing procurement data, and maintaining accurate records. You will work closely with the Inventory Manager and other team members to optimize inventory levels, track supplier performance, and contribute to the department's overall success. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.

The role is crucial in balancing inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing carrying costs and obsolescence.

Responsibilities

1. Forecasting and Planning: Utilize historical data, market trends, and other factors to forecast demand and plan inventory.
2. Inventory Management: Implement systems to track inventory movements, develop strategies to optimize inventory levels, analyze data for improvements, and implement controls against shrinkage, theft, or damage.
3. Supplier Management: Collaborate with suppliers for timely delivery, negotiate contracts, and resolve issues.
4. Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with purchasing, sales, and logistics to align inventory activities with business objectives.
5. Logistics and Transportation: Coordinate movement of goods via various transportation modes to ensure timely delivery while minimizing costs.
6. Team Management: Oversee daily operations, conduct regular check-ins, foster a collaborative team culture, and monitor performance with KPIs.

Requirements

• Matric or equivalent; additional education or certification in supply chain management is a plus.
• Minimum 2 years of supply chain experience.
• At least 1 year of team leadership experience.
• Knowledge of importing and exporting is beneficial.
• Proven experience in inventory management, sourcing, or related roles.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Basic understanding of inventory control and procurement processes.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
