Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Supply Chain Process Engineer to optimize logistics and distribution in Upington. The role focuses on analyzing, designing, and implementing process improvements across the supply chain to boost efficiency and service levels.

You will collaborate with warehousing, transportation and cross-functional teams, develop SOPs and flowcharts, and monitor KPIs to drive cost reductions and performance gains in the Northern Cape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field is required.
• 4+ years in supply chain analysis, logistics or process improvement.
• Strong knowledge of SCM principles and best practices.
• Experience with Upington region or similar markets is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing supply chain processes to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
• Design and implement optimized logistics, warehousing, and transportation processes.
• Utilize lean principles and data analysis to reduce costs and cycle times.

About the Role

This role focuses on analyzing, designing, and implementing process improvements across the entire supply chain to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels. You will work with cross-functional teams to streamline operations, from warehousing to transportation. This is a key position within the company, offering the chance to significantly impact its supply chain performance in the Northern Cape .

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing supply chain processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
• Design and implement optimized logistics, warehousing, and transportation processes.
• Utilize lean principles and data analysis to reduce costs and improve cycle times within the supply chain.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including SOPs and flowcharts.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless integration of supply chain operations.

Requirements
