Placements24 is hiring a Supply Chain Operations Manager in Cape Town to oversee procurement, inventory, warehousing, and distribution. You will drive cost efficiencies, improve service levels, and implement best practices across the supply chain in a hybrid work setting.

The role requires 6+ years in FMCG supply chain, strong WMS/ERP knowledge, and leadership capabilities to develop a high-performing team and deliver on targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in supply chain management with FMCG operations.
• Proven experience in inventory management, demand planning, and logistics optimization.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and distribution.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize logistics costs and improve delivery performance.
• Oversee inventory levels, forecast demand, and ensure product availability to meet sales targets.
• Lead and develop the supply chain team, fostering continuous improvement and accountability.
• Implement and maintain robust supply chain processes and systems to enhance efficiency and visibility.
• Negotiate with suppliers and logistics providers to secure favorable terms and service agreements.
