Job summary

BYD South Africa is seeking a skilled Supply Chain Planner to drive end-to-end planning for new passenger vehicles in the South Africa market. You will forecast demand, optimise inventory, allocate supply, and coordinate logistics to balance sales availability with cost and constraints.

The role requires hands-on SAP/ERP experience, advanced Excel skills, and collaboration across Sales, Finance, and Production teams to ensure timely delivery and KPI reporting.

Qualifications

• BCom in Supply Chain or Operations Management is required.
• 3+ years of automotive supply chain planning experience.
• Hands-on SAP/ERP experience and advanced Excel skills.
• Working knowledge of SA FBU import, customs, vehicle 3PL, and dealer network models.
• Strong English business communication and data-driven problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Develop rolling 12-month demand forecasts for passenger vehicle models and variants.
• Monitor national finished vehicle inventory pool and optimize stock levels.
• Generate supply allocation plans and align with forecast and inventory targets.
• Coordinate with logistics and 3PL teams on port receiving and distribution to dealers.
• Maintain planning master data in SAP and prepare KPI reports (forecast accuracy, stock availability, turnover).
• Collaborate with Sales, Dealer Operations, Finance, Logistics and Production/CKD teams.

Responsible for end-to-end supply planning of new passenger vehicles in South Africa market: demand forecasting, inventory optimisation, supply allocation and logistics coordination. Balance sales availability target, inventory cost and supply constraints (FBU import / CKD assembly).

Responsible for end-to-end supply planning of new passenger vehicles in South Africa market: demand forecasting, inventory optimisation, supply allocation and logistics coordination.

Responsibilities

• Develop rolling 12-month demand forecast for passenger vehicle models & variants; run forecast accuracy analysis, support monthly S&OP.
• Monitor national finished vehicle inventory pool, DIOH, aged stock, slow-moving units; recommend stock optimisation actions.
• Generate supply allocation plan: FBU import order / CKD build schedule, align with forecast and inventory target.
• Coordinate with logistics & 3PL team on port receiving, vehicle distribution to dealer network, track delivery lead time & exceptions.
• Maintain planning master data in SAP; prepare weekly/monthly supply chain KPI report (forecast accuracy, stock availability, inventory turn, logistics cost).
• Cross-functional alignment with Sales, Dealer Operations, Finance, Logistics and Production/CKD team.
