Job description

Minimum Requirements

An appropriate 3-year National Diploma / B-Degree (or higher qualification); a minimum of 3 years experience in a supply chain management environment.

Key Performance Areas

  1. Develop and review departmental policies.
  2. Build capacity among internal and external stakeholders.
  3. Develop, implement, and maintain control framework for supply chain.
  4. Develop standard operating procedures.
  5. Review and align delegations.
  6. Identify needs for policies, guidelines, norms, and standards in SCM practices and advise on their development.
  7. Contribute to provincial policy development.
  8. Conduct policy evaluation.
  9. Develop and implement communication strategies for SCM policy matters.

Competencies

  • Knowledge of Policy Development, Financial norms and standards (PFMA, NTRs, PTIs), Budgeting processes, HR legislation, Financial management, Strategic sourcing, Procurement practices, Industry trends, Record management, and Support services.

Skills needed: Analytical and strategic thinking; Budgeting; Written and verbal communication; Numeracy; Computer literacy; Conflict resolution; Monitoring, evaluation, and reporting; Presentation; Problem solving; Research; Ability to analyse, conceptualise, and implement policy.

Remuneration

Salary level 8: R - R per annum.
