Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a supply chain strategy for the Rustenburg, North West area.
• Oversee logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, inventory, and demand planning.
• Optimize processes to reduce costs and improve delivery times.
• Manage and negotiate contracts with 3PLs and suppliers to secure rates and service levels.
• Implement and leverage WMS, TMS, and ERP to improve visibility and control.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing supply chain team.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Develop and manage the supply chain budget and identify cost-saving opportunities.

About the Role

Our client, a major player in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, is looking for a highly experienced and strategic Supply Chain Director to oversee all aspects of logistics and distribution operations for the Rustenburg, North West region. This senior leadership position demands a visionary leader capable of optimizing the entire supply chain, from procurement and inventory management to warehousing and final-mile delivery. • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards within the supply chain operations.

Requirements

• A minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, logistics, or operations, with a significant portion in the FMCG industry.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex supply chain operations and driving significant cost reductions.
• Extensive experience with transportation management, warehouse operations, and inventory control.
• Strong understanding of supply chain software and technologies (ERP, WMS, TMS).
• Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with the ability to build and motivate teams.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
• A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field is essential; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of the operational landscape in Rustenburg, North West , and surrounding areas is a significant advantage.
