Supply Chain Coordinator – Muizenberg, Cape Town.
Oversee the smooth flow of goods from suppliers to production and finished stock. Balance purchasing, scheduling, and inventory control to keep operations moving efficiently and cost-effectively. Work with ERP tools to maintain accurate records, support compliance standards, and provide management with visibility on material availability and risks.
Salary: R28 000 – R30 000 CTC per month.
Minimum Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in supply chain, procurement, or production support (experience in FMCG or regulated manufacturing environments beneficial).
- Strong computer literacy with ERP and planning platforms (experience with Cin7 Core/DEAR, ClickUp, or similar is an advantage).
- Advanced Excel ability and confidence managing data, supplier pricing, and lead times.
- Familiarity with regulatory or quality frameworks, including traceability and audit readiness.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to stay composed under tight deadlines.
- Clear communicator with strong negotiation and relationship-building ability.
- Own transport and willingness to travel locally for suppliers, collections, or urgent deliveries
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Source and order raw and packaging materials, keeping supplier files current and accurate.
- Track purchase orders and deliveries to ensure goods arrive on schedule.
- Liaise with suppliers on costs, artwork approvals, and changes to packaging.
- Coordinate freight and logistics arrangements for local and imported stock.
- Keep production schedules up to date and issue job instructions to warehouse staff.
- Ensure materials are picked and dispatched correctly and finished products are recorded in the ERP.
- File and maintain supply chain documentation to support compliance and quality standards.
- Highlight risks around stock shortages or delays and suggest corrective action.
- Continuously look for efficiencies, process improvements, and opportunities to reduce costs.
- Report to management on supplier performance, order status, and operational bottlenecks.
