About the Role

Our client, a distinguished entity in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry, is seeking a meticulous and data-driven Supply Chain Analyst to enhance efficiency and performance within their operations supporting Stellenbosch, Western Cape. This role is essential for optimizing inventory levels, improving forecasting accuracy, and identifying cost-saving opportunities across the supply chain. You will leverage data analytics to provide critical insights that inform strategic decisions, ensuring the seamless flow of goods from production to consumers in a highly competitive market.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement in areas such as inventory management, logistics, and demand planning.
• Develop accurate demand forecasts to support production planning and inventory optimization.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across the supply chain and report on performance against targets.
• Collaborate with procurement, operations, and sales teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of supply chain strategies.
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives within the supply chain without compromising service levels.
• Support the implementation of new supply chain technologies and process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• 2+ years of experience in a supply chain analysis or similar role, preferably in the FMCG sector.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel (advanced), SQL, and ideally experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Understanding of supply chain principles, inventory management, and demand forecasting techniques.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
