About the Role

Our client, a leading provider of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) , is seeking a meticulous and analytical Supply Chain Analyst to join their operations team, supporting functions from Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal . This role is instrumental in optimizing the flow of goods, enhancing efficiency, and reducing costs across the entire supply chain network. You will leverage data analysis to identify bottlenecks, implement process improvements, and ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of products to market, playing a critical role in maintaining competitive advantage for our client in the demanding South African marketplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost reduction and performance improvement.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key supply chain metrics (e.g., inventory levels, lead times, transportation costs).
• Collaborate with logistics, procurement, and operations teams to forecast demand and optimize inventory management.
• Support the implementation of new supply chain technologies and processes.
• Identify and troubleshoot supply chain disruptions, working to implement solutions that minimize impact.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing overall supply chain visibility and resilience for FMCG products .

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• 1-3 years of experience in supply chain analysis or a related role, preferably in the FMCG sector .
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL).
• Familiarity with supply chain principles, logistics, and inventory management concepts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Experience with supply chain software or ERP systems is a plus.
