SUMMARY:
POSITION INFO:
Supply Chain Analyst required for an automotive company based in East London.
Purpose: To provide critical support for the Supply Chain & Operations functions by analyzing, monitoring, and reporting on key data and processes.
The Supply Chain Analyst is also responsible for gathering data, analyzing trends, and reporting the performance of various activities in the SCM department.
Requirements:
- Minimum tertiary qualification / technical diploma and/or specific training in Supply Chain Management. Three to five years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience within the field of expertise.
- Knowledge and working experience with QAD or MFG Pro is beneficial.
- Previous supervisory experience is advantageous.
- Must possess excellent communication skills and work effectively with all other functional groups throughout the organization.
- Accurate Document Control.
- Able to process time-sensitive information and orders to meet deadlines.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals, and generate presentations when required.
- Excellent analytical skills to problem solve and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Good project management skills to ensure the execution of multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
- Direct Reports: 1 – 2 team members.
- Maintain and manage vendor accounts.
- Oversee internal invoice verification systems (KITE).
- Support YFI regional plants in this function.
- Book, process, and analyze freight documentation.
- Prepare and distribute weekly overviews on freight costs.
- Analyze cost drivers and identify areas for cost reduction within the Supply Chain.
- Maintain import register in compliance with customs regulations.
- Facilitate export shipments and documentation.
- Perform month-end functions, analysis, and reporting.
- Create vendor accruals and analyze vendor statements.
- Participate in freight tenders and generate relevant data.
- Provide depot container overviews focusing on premium costs.
- Host quarterly vendor performance meetings.
- Support ad-hoc freight projects and process improvements.
