Job description

ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Daily supervises and controls employees in a safe manner on all maintenance, manages and coordinates resources to ensure the department meets the plant requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Responsible for managing maintenance function, sub-contractors and contractors, and coordinating resources to ensure the department meets plant requirements.
2. To supervise and lead allocated shop floor maintenance team.
3. To collaborate and implement all new products and assist in the execution of all new maintenance processes.
4. Analyses customer requirements and maintains optimal level of quality for all maintenance activities in accordance to the required standards.
5. Review weekly maintenance forecast and ensure availability of materials.
6. Responsible for maintaining Standard Maintenance Procedures, Risk Assessments, and Management of Change.
7. Monitors the quality of products & maintenance completed to ensure overall minimum downtime of the plant.
8. Manage maintenance breakdowns and spares.
9. Maintain daily maintenance report, log operating events, and SAP administration according to the matrix role.

QUALIFICATION:

1. Grade 12 / NTC 4 or higher (essential).
2. Trade Certificate - Mechanical / Electrical Engineering (essential).

EXPERIENCE, PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

1. Minimum 5 years’ experience in Mechanical / Electrical.
2. Thorough knowledge of drives, PLC, ASI, ethernet network and Induction heating machine.
3. Must be computer literate and have strong background in SAP system.
4. Supervisory skills – capable of overseeing, leading, and directing a team.
5. Analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Report writing skills.
7. Interpersonal skills – The ability to deal with a wide spectrum of people and cultures.
8. Communication – The ability to communicate professionally at all levels.
