Job summary

Sibanye Stillwater in Westonaria, Gauteng, South Africa seeks a seasoned professional for Mineral Resources evaluation and statistical leadership. The role requires deep data analysis, reporting, and resource planning to support production targets.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mathematics/statistics background, extensive Mineral Resources experience, and proficiency with PowerBI, SAP, and related data modelling tools.

Qualifications

• 8 years minimum experience in Mineral Resources.
• Strong capability in Mathematics and Statistics.
• Valid driver's license (if applicable).
• Medically fit to work in the specific business area.
• Clear security screening record.
• Working knowledge of databases design and implementation and data modelling software – PowerBI, MES, Synchromine, SAP, SAP Analytics Cloud, Excel Analysis.

Responsibilities

• Evaluation and Statistical Management.
• Manage the Evaluation Section and Statistical teams, systems and processes.
• Analyse and interpret survey and evaluation data, prepare reports, and implement corrective actions where required.
• Provide effective problem-solving support to the Evaluation and Statistical teams.
• Participate in the MRM project meetings.
• Plan and manage Mining resources (personnel, equipment and materials) as required.
• Setting and maintaining reporting standards to support the achievement of optimum production.
• Create data models and reports for optimum decision making and insight into the production of the operations.
• Develop strategies and initiatives pertaining to effective evaluation and reporting to mitigate drawbacks and constraints.
• Maintain integrity of the Database.
• Perform Mineral Resource and Metal Accounting calculations in accordance with industry standards.

• Perform SOX controls and reviews
• Recommend and implement best practice reporting, techniques, and methods to enhance the results of the business.
• Stop dangerous or non-standard practices
• Providing reports on adherence to standards and efficiencies
• Providing input to planning e.g., LOM, 2 year (BP) etc as required
• Auditing and management of the Belt sampling plant, Evaluation departments and Ore reserve plans.
• Input data into various database (MES, SAP, Survey Actuals).
• Mining Risk Management
• Contribute to the management of risk within own field of expertise
