Description

Davis School District is looking for positive, hard-working people to help us take care of our buildings! The job consists of vacuuming, sweeping, cleaning windows, and emptying garbage cans. These positions are for 14 - 15 year olds who are interested in working as a substitute sweeper. Sweepers can work no longer than 3 hours per day and 15 hours per week. You must be at least 14 years of age and no older than 15 years of age. If you are older than 15, you are welcome to apply to the 'Substitute Custodian' announcement.

The way our system works is quite simple. First, you submit an application to be a custodial substitute sweeper. When you get a sub sweeper job, your supervisor at the school will take you through a simple training to prepare you for a shift. Once you are trained and find a school that you love, you may be asked to fill in for a school custodian where needed. An opportunity like this may give you the experience necessary to be considered for a part-time position. If you'd rather not join us as a part-time employee, staying on as a substitute sweeper is just fine too! We're flexible.
