Sub-Contract Buyer – East London/Essex

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 + package

Location: East London/Essex

Regions: Essex, London

An established, dynamic main contractor with a strong reputation within the construction industry who specialise in delivering residential, education and healthcare, commercial and heritage projects across London with contract values up to £20,000,000.

They offer a variety of first class comprehensive services with very good client relationships due to a track record of success of completing projects on time, to budget and to the highest standards.

Due to their growing success and innovative business they are currently seeking an ambitious experienced Sub-Contract Buyer to join the team. The role is based out of their office near East London.

Sub-Contract Buyer Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Commercial Director
• Accountable for subcontract placements and procurement
• Liaise with the contracts management and surveying departments
• Analyse specifications and price comparisons
• Involved in different forms on tender enquiries
• Process subcontract demand sheets

Personal Specification

• Experience in subcontract buying
• Experience of working within a team and has a knowledge within the contracting industry
• Good commercial knowledge and has the capability to take control of situations and a good understanding of excel spreadsheets
