Job Title: Student Services Officer (Temp to perm)

Location: Barkingside, East London

Salary: £13 per hour / £24,000 per annum

Start date: Temp from w/c 20th May - End of July; Permanent from 1st August

Reporting to: Student Services Manager

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday - 36 hours per week (Term Time Only)

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the day-to-day running of the Student Services reception, being the first point of contact for student enquiries.
  • Assist with general administration tasks such as student attendance, uniform, and medical room management.
  • Provide a professional and appropriate front-line service for staff and students, following safeguarding procedures.
  • Perform administrative duties using school software, Microsoft Office, SIMS, etc.
  • Liaise with Main Reception regarding student arrivals and departures outside normal hours.
  • Assist with school vaccinations and medical administration as needed.
  • Undertake First Aid training and other relevant training as directed.
  • Handle all personal data confidentially in accordance with GDPR regulations.
  • Follow school policies and health & safety guidelines, and promote equal opportunities.
  • Maintain a personable, empathetic manner and ensure confidentiality.
  • Engage in professional development and annual performance reviews.
  • Perform any additional tasks reasonably requested by the Line Manager or Headteacher.
