MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

This is a one-year programme leading to registration as a registered auxiliary nurse.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

The programme aims to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to function in various healthcare settings, provide basic patient care, and support general nurses, professional nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

PROGRAMME OUTCOMES

Upon completion, graduates will be registered as Auxiliary Nurses (GN R.169 of 8 March 2013) and will be capable of providing basic healthcare services in diverse settings.

PROGRAMME DURATION

One academic year

REQUIRED EDUCATION

Grade 12 with an average of 50% (55% for National Vocational Certificate). Specific subject requirements include:

• Life or physical science: minimum 40%
• Mathematics: minimum 40% or Mathematics Literacy: minimum 50%
• English communication skills: minimum 40%
• Computer Literacy: minimum 40% (recommended)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
