Structural Technician/Engineer, North West, UK

Job Description:

Our client, an independent family-run Structural Engineering consultancy based in Chorley, Lancashire, is seeking a full-time Structural Technician/Engineer to join their team.

The company has a strong reputation with a steady client base, working on projects across the Industrial, Commercial, Power, and Attraction sectors.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a consultancy environment, proficient in AutoCAD, with some experience in Revit. Knowledge of engineering calculations and a desire to develop into a full engineer are also desirable.

Responsibilities include:

1. Holding a minimum of an ONC in Civil Engineering or relevant field.
2. Using Revit within the UK structures environment and having at least 5 years of experience in civil and structural engineering firms.
3. Modelling existing masonry structures and new RC Concrete/steel framed buildings.
4. Creating project templates and filters according to in-house standards.
5. Producing 3D BIM models to Level 2 Standard following in-house BIM specifications.
6. Applying good engineering knowledge and understanding of structural principles.
7. Modelling large-scale and refurbishment projects.

Salary & Benefits:

The salary range is £30,000 - £35,000, with potential to extend depending on experience. The role is full-time, based in the office, with free onsite parking. The company offers a salary package between £35,000 and £45,000, including 25 days of annual leave and employer-contributed pension.
