Placements24 in Gauteng’s Benoni is seeking a skilled Structural Steel Detailer to create detailed fabrication drawings and erection plans for steel structures. The role requires proficiency in Tekla Structures or similar CAD software to translate designs into precise workshop instructions.

You will work closely with engineers and fabricators to ensure accuracy, constructability, and compliance with project specifications across commercial and industrial projects in Gauteng.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in structural steel detailing/draughting.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce 3D models and 2D fabrication drawings for structural steel components using Tekla Structures or similar software.
• Generate erection plans, connection details, and material take-offs from design drawings.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to resolve design queries and ensure constructability.
• Liaise with fabrication shops and construction sites to address issues related to detailing or installation.
• Maintain high standards of accuracy and quality in shop drawings and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications for steel structures in Benoni.
