Responsibilities:

• Preliminary and detailed design of reinforced concrete, steel, and masonry structures.
• Bridge design and post-tensioned concrete design experience will be an advantage.
• Prepare project proposals, fee proposals, and project cost estimates.
• Conduct feasibility studies.
• Write technical reports and specifications.
• Assist with project procurement, including compiling tender documentation and evaluation reports.
• Assist with business planning.
• Manage design and production resources within the design office.
• Liaise with other consultants, clients, parastatals, municipalities, and government departments during project planning and implementation.
• Manage external contractors and sub-consultants during project execution.
• Oversee the implementation of structural engineering projects, either independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications:

• BSc / BEng in Civil Engineering.
• Professional registration with ECSA.
• 4-7 years of postgraduate experience in planning, designing, implementing, and managing large structural engineering projects.
• Experience with large building structures and civil structures such as offices, hotels, hospitals, warehouses, water retaining structures, culverts, bridges, mining structures, etc.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Marketing skills to help grow the company's structural engineering capabilities.
