Job description

EY's Strategy and Transactions (SaT) practice offers strategic corporate clients and private equity clients professional transaction advice and services, from the strategic analysis phase of the transaction lifecycle, through execution, to transaction integration. We help clients determine the right deal to do, and then assist them in doing the deal right.

Within SaT, Minvest teams advise our clients on a variety of issues concerning their mining investments, Mineral Resource and Reserves estimations, technical reviews, Mineral Asset Valuations, financing and strategic options within the minerals, oil and gas industries. The Minvest team is a specialised mining, oil and gas team of experienced technical professionals including environmental scientists, petroleum engineers, geologists, mining engineers and chemical engineers. We currently have an exciting new opportunity for different mining professionals with different levels of experience based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

  • Mineral asset valuation – Techno Economic Assessment
  • Technical Due Diligence and Reviews.
  • Exposure in International Public Reporting Codes including but not limited to : SAMREC, NI43-101, JORC, SK1300 and other.
  • Cross discipline collaboration in a mining environment and a sound understanding of the mining value-chain.
  • Exposure in assisting a Competent Person in Mineral Resources and Reserve estimation.
  • Performance / business improvement experience in the mining industry will be advantageous

  • Overall academic average of at least 65% and above.
